In its current state Kemomimi Treasure Hunters feels like a proof of concept with great potential and sublime art, however there are some quirks in the game design that are worth mentioning.

There's a variety of guns to choose from, each with their own damages, ranges and shot types, as well as several traps that range from pure damage to barricades in utility.

There's also a slot for rings which augment your loadout with things like extra reload speed or additional ammo. You dictate what each twin equips and then head into dungeons to find a treasure at the end, usually culminating in a wave assault where you defend a position.

The gunplay is your usual 8 directional shooter affair with an autoaim option that targets the enemy nearest to you.

You have an infinite amount of ammo and traps but can only place down so many of the latter at a time. While fresh at first this system leaves a lot to be desired mainly due to the lack of variety in the weapon department, most being a variation on the pistol in some fashion with only a few weapons like the flamethrower teasing anything different.

The traps help spice things up but usually don't expand past mindlessly placing them down whenever you get a chance.

There are a variety of enemies to attempt to remedy this although most fall into the "Melee, Projectile, Tank" archetype with only slight tweaks such as the ghost's ability to be incorporeal until they get close.

There are also larger animations that happen throughout the course of the story that really allowed the animator to shine.

All in all KTH doesn't overstay its welcome and is another excellent game under this circle's belt. After explorers of the golden planet I decided I would always get Acid Style's games as soon as they released and BOY am happy with this one!

First off, a warning- the main characters are twins, a boy and a girl. And they both get violated. Including the boy in his butt.

So either pass on this if that isn't your thing, or git gud so you can avoid the scenes, because about half of his scenes are that.

On the flip side if that sounds great to you, then PICK THIS UP!! All of the grab animations and the actual scenes are amazing, just like always for acid style.

All of the characters are super cute, and I'm a little sad that some of the cute background characters never get any ero, but maybe it will come in an update.

As for the gameplay, I wouldn't rank it as highly as explorers of the golden planet, but it's still pretty okay. If I had to list a complaint, it'd be that sometimes it feels like there's no reason to kill enemies when you are good at escaping grabs before you take damage, since you can use your invincibility frames to cover quite some distance.

In closing, this hgame is decently fun, AMAZINGLY animated and styled and has VERY good scenes and poses. If you've liked any of Acid Rain's other works, you're sure to like this.
